# sudo apt-get purge zeitgeist-core zeitgeist-datahub python-zeitgeist rhythmbox-plugin-zeitgeist zeitgeist geoclue geoclue-ubuntu-geoip

# rm -rf ~/.local/share/zeitgeist/

clear cache

# cat /dev/null > ~/.bash_history && history -c && exit

For a more heavy duty cleaning use

# bleachbit
